Young Arthur feels compassion when he unexpectedly meets an elephant who can't remember... well... anything. Arthur says, "Maybe I can help" and they embark on a day of fun and play, eventually meeting up with Arthur's friends who make the fun even better. Finally, the Elephant's family finds him and we learn (very subtly and gently) that he is a grandpa elephant who has trouble remembering things. But he sure remembers the fun he had with his new friend, Arthur.
