For most of us the Church today is well-established, well-entrenched, quite predictable, and safe... and in most places the Church is like this it's declining in numbers and influence on the world. The Early Church barely had a toehold in the world and was pretty much making it up as they went... and it grew by leaps and bounds, even when it was dangerous to be a Christian. One critic at the time complained that those early Christians were turning the world upside down!

By better understanding what was going on in the first few centuries of the Church, youth can better learn to live their faith out loud today.
