BJ, the new African American pastor called to revitalize all-white Grace Church, never considers that things might not work out.

With the determination and confidence that make her an exceptional leader, Pastor BJ will find a way to bridge the chasm between Grace Church members and the people in the surrounding neighborhood of Jefferson Heights.

Thirty years earlier whites began fleeing the Heights, and now it's home to people from many cultures. Connecting with them will be Grace Church's toughest journey ever. BJ herself will be attacked by people who would like to destroy everything she stands for.

But God has other plans.
